Dr. Vaishali Zamre is a leading breast cancer surgeon in India. Before joining the Andromeda Cancer Hospital, Dr. Zamre worked as a unit head and Senior Consultant in Surgical Oncology (Breast Cancer Surgery) at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre, Delhi, in 2021. Earlier, she worked as a breast surgeon at Max Super-specialty Hospital, Dharamshila Cancer Hospital, and Action Cancer Hospital in Delhi. She completed her MCh in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery from the University of East Anglia, Norwich, UK.She completed her initial medical training (graduation and post-graduation in General Surgery) at Government medical college in India. She received additional training in breast cancer surgeries and Oncoplastic Reconstructions in the Breast Unit at Cardiff School of Medicine, Cardiff (UK), under the able guidance of Professor Robert Mansel. With 24 years of surgical experience after her post-graduation, she has acquired proficiency in breast cancer surgeries,oncoplastic reconstructions, and breast reconstruction. She is passionate about research in the field of breast cancer and has published many articles in digital and print media on breast cancer awareness.
