Sabine Hairabedian, MS, MBA

Healthcare Entrepreneur, New York, USA

Sabine is an engineer and a Wall Street executive turned healthcare entrepreneur upon a breast cancer diagnosis.  At age 41 and with no family history, Sabine received that dreadful call that her breast biopsy had come back positive. Luckily, it was caught early, and after three surgeries, she was declared cancer-free. This experience left a huge mark on her and forced her to reevaluate her priorities.

Upon her recovery, Sabine became very involved in the world of breast cancer, both as a volunteer for her local breast cancer coalition – where she sits on the advisory board and leads a team of survivors who provide emotional and financial support to women facing a breast cancer diagnosis – and as a professional: passionate about helping women who are fighting the disease, she invented the award-winning LiftMeUp bed recliner, an innovative product that helps women recover from a mastectomy. More recently, she has joined Niramai Health Analytix, a tech startup that has developed a breakthrough AI solution to help doctors detect early-stage breast cancer in a safe (radiation-free) and non-invasive (no contact) manner. She heads the Business Development efforts in the US.

Through her work, Sabine has met many fellow young breast cancer fighters and survivors. The toll the disease takes on them is always traumatic, and Sabine is determined to raise awareness and make a difference in the fight against Breast Cancer in Young Women.

Originally from France, Sabine holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from UTC, one of the top engineering schools in France.
