Kristi Funk, M.D. is a double board-certified breast cancer surgeon, and lifestyle medicine doctor, bestselling author, and international speaker. She graduated from Stanford University in 1991, received her medical degree from UC Davis, completed her surgical residency in Seattle, and a surgical breast fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. She excelled as a Director of the Cedars-Sinai Breast Center until 2009 when Dr. Funk co-founded the Pink Lotus Breast Center in Los Angeles where she currently practices. She has helped thousands of women navigate breast issues, including celebrities like Angelina Jolie and Sheryl Crow. Dr. Funk’s nutritional science expertise sparked twin passions: the online women’s social network at pinklotus.com/powerup, and her annual in-person or virtual Cancer-Kicking! Summits. She even has a monthly online cooking show featuring recipes from her Cancer-Kicking Kitchen.
She is the go-to breast expert for Good Morning America with repeat appearances on Today, The Doctors, Dr. Oz, Rachael Ray, as well as countless online interviews. Dr. Funk has received dozens of honors and awards and uses her appearances to educate and give back to the community. She resides in Los Angeles, CA, with her husband, Andy Funk, and triplet teenage sons in Los Angeles, CA.
