Dr. Heller is a professor of radiology and the head of the Breast Imaging section at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. She has committed her career to advancing breast imaging techniques and enhancing clinical outcomes. Dr. Heller has authored approximately 90 peer-reviewed articles, reviews, editorials, and other scientific publications. She serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Breast Imaging and RadioGraphics and has acted as an associate editor for the British Journal of Radiology. Additionally, she is a highly sought-after ad hoc reviewer for major radiology journals. Dr. Heller’s expertise is recognized worldwide; she practiced as a breast radiologist in the United Kingdom for several years before joining the faculty at NYU Langone in 2015. Her research interests center around screening outcomes, imaging utilization, and improving the specificity of breast imaging, particularly for young women diagnosed with breast cancer. She is driven by the belief that early detection and accurate diagnosis are crucial to improving breast cancer outcomes and patient care.
