Dr. Acharya is one of the most active breast doctors at the interface of patient care and community awareness programs in Nepal. She earned her post graduate degree in Radiation Oncology from NAMS in 2009 and perused her short-term fellowship in Radiation Oncology from Princess Margaret Cancer Center, Toronto in 2011. Dr. Acharya has also earned a year-long course in Medical Law and Bioethics from James Lind University. She is very active in numerous professional organizations including, serving as a general secretary for Cancer Care Nepal; executive board member for Nepal Medical Council; executive member for the SAARC Federation of Oncologists Nepal; general secretary Nepalese Society of Radiotherapy and Oncology; and expert consultant on population-based Cancer Registry Program of Government of Nepal.
