Birgitte Baht is the founder of the Danish social enterprise Props & Pearls, which has supported women affected by breast or gynecological cancer since 2005. The organization operates on two pillars: a physical health lounge where women can access medical devices and free counseling, and the development and dissemination of foundation-funded awareness campaigns.

Since 2021, Props & Pearls has been running the campaign “Are You Dense?” to raise awareness in Denmark about the risks associated with dense breasts. In 2025, they launched Boobtiek-dot-com, a campaign that shares information about breast cancer symptoms, examination methods, risk factors, and more. The goal is to contribute to earlier breast cancer detection cancer.
Birgitte’s current focus includes: 1) weighted risk factors and preventive measures, particularly for younger women; 2) promoting increased self-examinations among younger women; enhancing efforts by GPs for early detection in younger women; and introducing Thermalytix in Denmark.
