Dr. Cynthia Villarreal-Garza completed her MD degree at Tecnologico de Monterrey and specialized in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology at Instituto Nacional de Ciencias Medicas y Nutricion Salvador Zubiran in Mexico. In addition, she is Master and Doctor in Medical Sciences, graduated from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico. She completed a Breast Cancer Clinical Fellowship at Sunnybrook Odette Cancer Center, University of Toronto. She is the founder and director of “Joven & Fuerte,” a program for the care and research of young women with breast cancer in Mexico and is a founding partner of “MILC,” an association with the objectives of eliminating barriers for early breast cancer diagnosis and treatment and enhancing integral care for patients. She has published more than 150 scientific articles and is a member of the National System of Researchers.
