Ms. Cortés is a designer by profession. During her thesis, she created the Palpa, a device that trains the breast self-examination technique. Because of her creation, she obtained an invention patent and multiple felicitations in Chile and worldwide. Ms. Cortés was chosen as one of the 100 leading women in Chile in 2022. She is considered one of the top 35 innovators in Latin America in 2022 (MIT Technology review) and has won two titles in the Chile Design Awards 2022 (the most important award given by the guild).
