Ms. Monkhouse is a patient advocate advocating for health equity and humanism in healthcare. Kistein is a 2022 Aspen Ideas fellow, a 2021 Vital Voices fellow, a speaker, and the producer of the award-winning films Humanizing Health Care, Hearing Cancer, and The Cost of Abortion Bans. She serves as a board member of various not-for-profit organizations and is involved with patient advocacy at the local and national levels championing efforts to combat healthcare disparities through shared decision-making between individuals and their care teams.
