Dubai, UAE
Marah Tabbal is a dedicated PhD candidate in Biomedical Sciences, currently pursuing her research at Mohammed bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences in Dubai. Her academic journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology from the American University of Madaba in Jordan, where she developed a strong foundation in cellular and molecular biology. She continued her education with a master’s degree in biomedical sciences at Mohammed bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, where her passion for understanding the molecular mechanisms behind early-onset breast cancer was ignited. In her current doctoral research, Marah developed a project that focuses on unraveling the molecular landscape of early-onset breast cancer in young women within the Arab population, which is a significantly under-represented population. This critical study area aims to identify genetic and transcriptomic alterations, signaling pathways, and tumor microenvironment characteristics that differentiate early-onset cases from older patients. Marah seeks to provide insights that could lead to more effective diagnostic and therapeutic strategies by employing a multi-omic approach.
