Dr. Felicia Tan is a highly accomplished breast oncologic surgeon and the Director of the FeM Surgery group in Singapore. Her illustrious journey began with a bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery from the esteemed National University of Singapore, followed by comprehensive post-graduate training in general surgery at the National Cancer Centre Singapore and Singapore General Hospital. Her professional trajectory is marked by significant tenures at eminent medical institutions, including roles as an associate consultant at Kerdang Kerbau Women’s and Children’s Hospital and as a consultant surgeon at Raffles Hospital before establishing her current practice at Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre.

Recognized as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) and possessing specialist accreditation in General Surgery in Singapore, Dr. Felicia’s contributions to medicine and breast cancer research have been lauded with several prestigious awards. For example, she was honored as one of Prestige Singapore’s Top 40 under 40 achievers 2015. She received the Great Women of Our Time award from Singapore Women’s Weekly in 2020 for her outstanding dedication and impact in the field.

Dr. Felicia is proficient in an array of surgical techniques, from breast conservation surgery (lumpectomy) to advanced procedures such as nipple- and skin-sparing mastectomies combined with immediate breast reconstruction. Her proficiency extends to intricate breast surgical procedures like vacuum-assisted biopsies and pioneering endoscopic (keyhole) breast surgery, ensuring precision and patient comfort.

A trailblazer in the medical landscape, Dr. Felicia introduced the radioisotope occult lesion localization (ROLL) procedure in Singapore, revolutionizing the localization of non-palpable breast lesions and microcalcifications for surgical excision.
