Dr. Borges, a dedicated Medical Oncologist, specializes in the treatment of breast cancer patients in Cape Verde. Her journey in the medical field began in 1994 when she commenced her medical studies at the Faculty of Medicine Galixto Garcia, University of Havana. Furthering her expertise, she obtained a postgraduate degree in medical oncology from the esteemed National Institute of Oncology and Radiobiology in Havana. Throughout her extensive career, Dr. Borges has played an active role in all facets of breast cancer, ranging from diagnosis and treatment to surgical and therapeutic procedures. Her commitment to the well-being of patients extends beyond individual care, as she is deeply passionate about promoting public health initiatives and imparting valuable knowledge to the community on various health-related topics. With a strong focus on advocacy, Dr. Borges is currently dedicated to advancing the strategic objectives of the Breast Cancer in Young Women Foundation (BCYWF) in raising awareness about breast cancer among younger women residing in the islands of Cape Verde and neighboring countries, aiming to make a positive impact on their health and well-being Havana.
